Last night we had a great Bible study at the shack. We are going over Henry Blackaby's book, Spiritual Leadership and we covered the first chapter last night. I also watched a Paul Washer sermon on how we cannot look at Benny Hen and Joel Olsteen's congregation like they're victims. God has raised those men up as the judgment for those people. God's word says that in the last days, men will accumulate for themselves teachers with itching ears. Those false prophets are giving those people exactly what they want. "they say there is peace when there is no peace" (Jer). As spiritual leaders its important to know that if you're not on God's agenda you are not a spiritual leader, your a waste of time.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! I've got a solid week of subbing then school starts. Every year I pledge to study more, lets see if it actually happens. I was looking into Navy Chaplain stuff, and hope to meet up with the LT. who recruits here in a couple months but of course I have a long way to go before that happens. The kids are still doing great. Kirby is getting bigger by the day, Cody is getting smarter by the day, and Cali is getting more mischievous by the day! She's figuring out how cute she is I think.
If everyone could pray for Alex Meyer. He goes in for ANOTHER open heart surgery on the 22nd of January. Pray that God keeps him safe and that He would hold that Family close thru this trial. Sean and Tara covet our prayers. They are serving the Lord faithfully in Washington and have trusted the Lord with Madison and Alex and the Lord has always been faithful.
We continue to love and be loved by our wonderful Church as we continue on in Laramie. Pray that I continue to remain faithful with witnessing on campus this semester, and for Erin as she raises our kids to be strong men and women of God.

Drew and I worked on a roof today in 9 degree weather with -20 degree windchill. That, and snow blowing in our faces made for a chilly day at work

Well, it's Thursday. It doesn't look like the school districts calling so its manual labor today. I just got through with the Surgeon archive daily devotional (always refreshing) and it reminded me how thankful I need to be of Jesus' promises to finish the work that He started in my heart. I hope all of you Friends, Family, and Enemies are doing well this morning. The kids continue to remain healthy despite Erin and I both having strep these last few weeks. Praise God for that! Pray for our Friends in Washington, Sean and Tera Meyer. Their son Alex goes in for open heart surgery to fix a leaky valve and he's only 3 years old. They covet your prayers for his courage and their strength in the Lord.
Praise God! I am able to complete another semester at UW. It wasn't going to happen until got provided the exact amount needed through saints that had no idea what we needed, God just put an amount to send to us in their hearts and they obeyed God's command. What a blessing to serve a God who cares for our every need even when we are not expecting it.
